Panthers Land Tight End Hayden Hurst
/The Carolina Panthers made an important free agent acquisition this offseason by signing Hayden Hurst to a 3-year contract. Hurst was a highly touted prospect when the Ravens selected him in the first round. Still, after two years of underwhelming production, he went to Atlanta for two seasons and then found a momentary renaissance with the Bengals last season.

Hurst's first season with Atlanta in 2020 was impressive, as he had 56 catches for 571 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns. However, his production tanked the following year due to injury problems. Nevertheless, Hurst had a solid year with Cincinnati, where he notched 52 catches for 414 yards and two touchdowns.
The Panthers are hoping that Hurst's potential will shine through in Carolina, especially as they'll be looking to land a franchise quarterback in the upcoming 2023 NFL draft. Hurst's experience as a receiving tight end should be a valuable asset for whoever becomes the Panthers' starting quarterback, and his presence could help take pressure off the team's young signal-caller.
Adding Hurst to the Panthers' roster is a promising move for the team, and fans should be excited to see what he can bring to the field in the upcoming season.
