Shaq Thompson Returning to Carolina!
/Ian Rappaport reports that Shaq Thompson and the Carolina Panthers have reworked his deal keeping him in Charlotte for two more years. Thompson, the longest-tenured positional player and heir apparent to Thomas Davis, was due 24 million dollars under his previous deal. It left many asking if the price tag matched the production. It’s been difficult for Thompson to live up to fan expectations, but he’s assumed a leadership role over the past few years while having some of his most productive seasons. Thompson’s return at least adds some familiarity for fans as they learn more about the team’s identity under the new coaching staff.
