Are the Panthers done making moves? Would they be willing to trade the #1 pick that they just traded to get?

Carolina’s acquisition of the #1 overall pick was exhilarating. Quiet anxiety has hung in the background since Cam’s release. Jumping to the first pick felt as if that haze could clear. The pick of the litter! Immediately, I began to question, Stroud or Young? How could the endorphin high hit any harder?

Nevertheless, rumors immediately swirled that Carolina could be open to dealing the #1 pick to a team like the Houston Texans to recoup draft capital. It’s unprecedented and seems risky of flying too close to the sun.

But why would the Panthers be willing to give up such a valuable asset? It’s likely all smoke at this point. Some believe that the Panthers may like Stroud and Young equally enough that if the Texans were, say, in love with Bryce Young, Carolina would let them move up to one for some picks and then take Stroud at #2.

Of course, it's all speculation at this point, but the idea of the Panthers trading away the top pick is a wild one.
