Should DeAngelo Williams And His $25K Per Yard Salary Return in 2015?

DeAngelo Williams is the all-time leading Panthers Running Back.  More than Stephen Davis, more than Tsihmanga Biakabutuka and more than my old neighbor, Deshaun Foster.  He has 6,846 yards and has averaged 4.8 yards per carry in his career.  That is tied for third among all active Running Backs (Jamaal Charles, AP and tied with DeMarco Murray).

However, 2014 was the worst of his career. He averaged 3.8 ypc and finished 38th among Running Backs with a modest 239 yards.  He counted $6.M against the cap which equates to roughly $25K per yard!

Like David Gettleman said, you can't be sentimental.  I say it is time to move on.  That doesn't mean we don't love DW and will always call him a Panther (though it does bug me he seems more loyal to Memphis, TN than Charlotte).  What do you think Panther Nation?  Should DW come back for one more year?  I don't think so, but what about you?
