Brady Christensen out for season with torn bicep
/Starting left guard Brady Christensen tore his bicep late in the Panthers’ opener against the Falcons. Christensen, who broke his left ankle at the end of the 2022 season, had a strong preseason and looked to becoming a steady player on the line. Carolina announced today that Christensen would be placed on season-ending IR, leaving Cade Mayes, Nash Jenson, and Justin McCray to fill the void.

Panthers rookie Chandler Zavala started at right guard as Austin Corbett continues to recover from a late-season ACL. Corbett has been making steady progress but started the season on short-term IR and will be eligible to return after week four. Zavala played left guard at NCSU; many believe it is his natural position. It wouldn’t be surprising that if Zavala keeps playing well, the Panthers shift him over to left guard upon Corbett’s return.
