Rumors brewing that both Carolina and Denver aren't as interested in Sean Payton as first thought!
/Maybe we should start wondering why some of these coaches go on these speaking tours. Matt Rhule did it when he was lobbying for a college job after being fired in Carolina. Sean Payton may be doing it now. Is the interest in Payton the coach what we thought it was?
Rumor has it Sean Payton is not likely to be the Carolina Panthers’ next head coach, and the interest from teams like the Denver Broncos may not be there either. Benjamin Allbright, the host of Broncos Country Tonight, believes that trade compensation, salary demands, and his desire for front-office control have made teams hesitant to pull the trigger. For some context, Allbright believes that most teams’ interest in Payton is overblown. He also describes Payton as the Davy Crockett of football (a man whose legend doesn’t match his resume.)
From everything I've heard it doesn't appear Sean Payton has much of a market.

Jobs he wanted didn't open, and outside of Denver (we'll see about AZ) there just hasn't been much interest.
Strong possibility he goes back to TV.
The only official news coming out of Carolina is that they interviewed Sean Payton, who is on their list of candidates to conduct a second interview. Many believe that Payton leaving Carolina without the job, taking an interview with the Arizona Cardinals, and moving forward with a second interview with Denver.
