Philly Brown Signed by Buffalo Bills
/Carolina's parting with Philly Brown reminds of the colder side of the NFL. Brown didn't take the news easily, immediately scrubbing his Twitter bio of any Panther forensics. Some have talked of an Instagram live video where Brown vented on the situation, and reportedly Brown was upset by coverage of his video by Bill Voth.
We've signed a wide receiver. Welcome to the Bills, Philly Brown!

The good news is that one's man trash is another man's treasure. The Bills signed Brown to a 1-yr deal. He'll join former Panther defensive coordinator, now Buffalo Bills Head Coach, Sean McDermott in the chicken wing capital of the world.
Brown's time in Carolina was one of intrigue. The un-drafted rookie walking on to the Panthers, undersized and overlooked, was a feel-good story. Brown made a lot of his opportunities as well. Playing off the practice squad onto the 53-man roster, Brown had to play a bigger role in the offense as Carolina entered the 2014 season without a receiver on the roster who had ever caught an NFL pass. He did OK. In 2015, he had one of the worst preseasons ever known to man, but played immensely better as the season progressed. He never could get past Tedd Ginn, and without any special value on special teams, he turned out to be expendable.
