Cameron Jordan Loves Hitting Cam Newton Because He's a Flopper
/Saints defensive end, Cameron Jordan, gloated about how much he enjoyed sacking Cam Newton because he then watches him "roll around seven times, flop, flail, and look for the flag to be thrown" Jordan went on to say Cam Newton "should of played basketball" because he's a flopper. He continued a mantra we have started to hear more and more since Denver did it, keep hitting Cam "and you know he's going to get upset."
Jordan mentioned this is something that they've seen on tape, but he didn't mention he hasn't seen it in person since 2015. Jordan has been able to get to Cam throughout his career, sacking him 3 times in 2013, once in 2014, and again in 2015. Jordan didn't register sack Newton this past year.
Getting in Cam's head, it's something everyone tries to do, even if it means going head-hunting. It's not surprising that Jordan enjoys seeing Cam Newton suffer. I'm a little surprised, however, that he was so adamant about Newton flopping for flags. It's only been this past year that Cam has been especially demonstrative about what he believes to be clear roughing the passer penalties that seemingly never get called. Maybe this has something to do with the scrums that have happened between Cam and the Saints defense over the years.
