Panthers Fan Could Face Up to 60 Days in Jail for Assault at BOA on Fellow Fan

An out of control Panthers fan attacked a fellow fan for what appears to be an argument that started over the victim taking issue with the Panthers fan standing through the entire game. The Panthers are working with CMPD to identify and apprehend the subject who could be banned from Panther stadium and face up to 60 days in jail for assaulting this fan and causing bodily injury.

Because the victim sustained serious injury that looks like it would have required medical attention, this likely constitutes a Class A1 misdemeanor, which if convicted, the individual could receive up to 60 days in jail, probation, and other court-ordered stipulations. If the defendant has a previous criminal record, the sentence could be up to 150 days in jail if convicted.

From early reports, it does not appear that the individual has been apprehended or charged at this time. This commentary is based purely on the video footage below and the stipulations outlined in General Statue 14-33

This is an embarrassing representation of the Panthers fan base and given the video footage, there shouldn't be much leniency in this matter.
