Week 2 Recap: Rucker League

The ever close and competitive C3 Rucker league had a fantastic week two with many matches to note, here are some of the top.

Team Hazelwood (2-0) Vs. Team NEPanthersFans (1-1)

The top team in the East Division received a scare by a then undefeated underdog. Ultimately the combined 99 points from Tyrod Taylor and Matt Forte was too much to overcome for Team NEPanthersFans. In a 6.5 point loss, the benching Stefon Diggs (29.5 points) in favor of Chris Hogan (7 points) was the crucial mistake for Mr. Varnes.

Final Score: 120.5-114 Team Hazelwood

Carruth Carruth Is On Fire (1-1) Vs. Fear The Beard (2-0)

In a battle of the undefeated, Fear The Beard pulled out a huge blowout victory despite being a mere 2.4 point favorite. It was a well-balanced attack for the victor with only two players scoring below 10 points, and they scored 9.5 a piece. Carruth was ultimately done in by leaving the better scoring options of LeGarrette Blount, Willie Snead, and Kirk Cousins on the bench.

Final Score: 120.5-84.5 Fear The Beard

Rochester Rusty Nails (1-1) Vs. Long Live Tony Pike (0-2)

In the closest matchup of the week (6 points) Rochester Rusty Nails overcomes a first week loss to put his first check in the win column. Though he was the top scorer and helped Mr. Salter steal a win, lets not hope Matt Ryan continues a high fantasy prowess in the future. In a game this close you cant afford to make many mistakes, leaving Corey Coleman and his 25.5 points on the bench ultimately Long Live Tony Pike the matchup.

With only three undefeated teams left in C3 Minter it is still anyone’s game, and with no clearly dominant lineup it will be very interesting to see if anyone begins to clear the pack in the upcoming weeks.

My constant adding and dropping may have cost me a good player in Isaiah Crowell, who has been one of the top scoring backs through the first two weeks of the season, my current waiver priority is dead last, so whoever is able to snag him will be getting a good player for cheap.
