Carolina Panthers: Fantasy Football Projections Week 13
/Did you make the playoffs in your league? If so, congratulations! Making the playoffs isn’t easy with all of the injuries, suspensions, and bye weeks. You worked hard to get to this point, so don’t slip up now! Start players who are sure things, and trust your gut when you’re picking between two players.
The Carolina Panthers were going downhill real fast, so their bye week was a much needed breather. The Panthers have the opportunity to go into Minnesota and beat the 4-7 Vikings. Adrian Peterson is out for the season, so that’s one less thing to worry about. Who should you start this week?
My Week 13 Projections:
- Cam Newton: 22 pts (215 passing yards, 3 touchdowns, 25 rushing yards)
- Kelvin Benjamin: 15 pts (92 yards, 1 touchdown)
- Greg Olsen: 12 pts (60 yards, 1 touchdown)
- Philly brown: 9 pts (30 yards, 1 touchdown)
- Jonathan Stewart: 9 pts (35 rushing yards, 1 touchdown)
- Jerricho Cotchery: 6 pts (60 yards)
- DeAngelo Williams: 5 pts (53 rushing yards)
- Panthers Defense: 4 pts
My Week 13 Recommendations:
Must Start: Kelvin Benjamin and Greg Olsen
Sit: Cam Newton, DeAngelo Williams, Jonathan Stewart, and Jerricho Cotchery
Week 13 Sleepers: Panthers Defense, Philly Brown
The Minnesota Vikings are struggling to win like the Carolina Panthers. The Vikings best game of the season was a 34-6 victory over the St. Louis Rams, and their worst game was a 42-10 loss against the Green Bay Packers. The Vikings won against the Rams with Adrian Peterson, but since his suspension they have only beat teams that are under .500.
If you want a good chance at winning your matchup, you should start Greg Olsen and Kelvin Benjamin. If they are sitting on your bench, you might be missing out on some quality points. Benjamin and Olsen get a lot of targets, and should have more opportunities to score against the Vikings. Cam Newton has the potential to have a break out game, but he is not a sure thing yet. You don’t want to risk it at this point. If you need to fill your flex position, I would pick up Philly Brown. Brown is a deep threat and might be used like Ted Ginn Jr. If the Panthers defense can put pressure on Teddy Bridgewater, the rookie will make some mistakes. Do NOT start the running backs. Good luck!
