Deshaun Watson wasn't feeling the Carolina Panthers
It’s no secret that Carolina has been looking for a franchise quarterback since David Tepper turned the reigns over to Matt Rhule. It hasn’t been easy as they have swung and missed on Teddy Bridgewater only to make a failed run for Matt Stafford that left them hoping to revitalize Sam Darnold’s career. Throughout all of this, Deshaun Watson was always thought to be their main target before his legal troubles arose. The uncertainty surrounding Watson’s, most believed, didn’t preclude him from Carolina, but only delayed their pursuit. Resolution of Watson’s legal issues may not matter because he seems to be uninterested in playing for Carolina. According to Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, Watson wasn’t interested in playing for Carolina. Ironically, Carolina was feeling Watson, but he wasn’t feeling the Panthers.
