Graham Gano's Final Preseason Game Puts Him In Danger of Being Cut
The Panthers drafted Harrison Butker this past season to put pressure on Graham Gano, who has struggled in pressure situations over the last two season. Gano may have made the decision for Carolina to part ways and go with the rookie easier when he missed a 51-yard field goal in the Panthers final preseason games Gano winced as the ball hit the right upright and bounced out for his second miss in the preseason.
Gano looked to be the leader in camp as Butker missed a few in early practice, but Gano has struggled in game sitituations. Not only has he missed a couple of key kicks, he hasn't looked all that great on the kicks he has made. The pressure has gotten to him, and that has to be worrisome given that his misses in the past two seasons have been when the game is on the line.
The deciding factor may just be the money. Cutting Gano could free up over 3 million in cap space. Gano has been inconsistent to say he least. After tonight, Carolina may be looking to turn the page,
