The bumper for Cam Newton's Nickelodeon television show, All In!, came out yesterday, and it looks great! Debuting on June 3 at 8 pm, All In is a show where Cam Newton helps already amazing children “up their game” in progressing toward their goals. Whether it is becoming a herpetologist (snake scientist), a gymnast, or circus performer, Newton encourages these kids to go all in on their dreams.

It’s an uplifting message--aspiring for greatness through hard work and dedication. It’s a venture that will surely go unacknowledged by those who have gone all in on their dislike for Newton because of the show’s authenticity. Those of us who were all in on Cam Newton from the beginning know Cam loves the kids. The Cam Newton Foundation focuses on uplifting American youth. He’s taken the most favorite of Panther fans, Braylon Beam, under his wing, and he is never shy to roll up to a local kid’s birthday in an ice cream truck.

For a guy who at times awkwardly interacts with the media, he looks most comfortable when surrounded by smiling kids. He lets his guard down because it’s one of the few moments Newton doesn’t have to worry about some sort of hidden agenda or an individual searching for evidence to support a narrative they have already written.

Newton’s comments that he wanted to become more than a great player, but an icon when he came into the league, drew a lot of criticism when he came into the league. He is becoming an icon, though,an admirable one too. Sure he’s expanding his brand, but this is a great concept that fits Cam perfectly. It’s a lot more natural than Tom Brady’s $200 cookbook anyway.
