I would say it was only a matter of time, but that would imply that it has ever really ceased. I'm guessing if we go back through the tape, Colin Cowherd probably said at one point he'd take Cam Newton over Aaron Rodgers. Oh, like this one?

I guess when you have to talk for 4-hours you just have to flip and flop like a fish out of water. Cowherd would now take Marcus Marriota and Andrew Luck over Cam Newton. I'm not really interested in listening to the full segment, so I didn't track it down. I'm guessing at some point he'll take Rodgers over Cam. Hell, since they both lost this week, maybe he'll go Wentz over the two of them. 

I would say I'm over all of this by this point,  but I'd be lying. I'm sharpening my Twitter sword as we speak as we prepare to go to battle for our quarterback.
