Who is on Santa's Naughty or Nice List?
Christmas is almost here, so I am feeling festive. I hope that you are enjoying the holiday season and that you have a Merry Christmas.
We all know that Carolina Cat Chronicles is about the Carolina Panthers, so let's talk about them. Which players on the Panthers would be on Santa's naughty or nice list? If Santa Claus came down the fake chimney at Bank of America stadium, what would he fill their stockings with? Coal? Medical Equipment? Awards? Trophies?
Here is my brief description for each list:
Nice: Playing well, having great season, or helping the team win.
Naughty: Trouble off the field, benched, or not playing well.
In Between: Injured, questionable skills, or streaky player.
Here is how Santa Claus would have the Panthers players listed on his list: (Please note that this is not the whole roster):
Nice List
Cam Newton
Derek Anderson
Jonathan Stewart
Kelvin Benjamin
Greg Olsen
Thomas Davis
Luke Kuechly
Mario Addison
Josh Norman
Bene' Benwikere
In Between
DeAngelo Williams
Mike Tolbert
The Offensive Line
Tre Boston
Roman Harper
Wes Horton
Kawann Short
Naughty List
Greg Hardy
Charles Johnson
Frank Alexander
Melvin White
Thomas DeCoud
Kony Ealy
Star Lotulelei
Why On The Nice List:
Derek Anderson has done a great job filling in for an injured Cam Newton. Anderson has won the two games he has started, keeping the Panthers in the playoff race.
Josh Norman is on this list because he has turned into a shutdown corner with lots of potential. He is the Panthers number one cornerback, but Norman also has a big mouth.
Mario Addison is trying to fill the void left by Greg Hardy. Addison is doing a good job by leading the Panthers with 6.5 sacks.
Why On The Naughty List:
Greg Hardy has been in a lot of trouble off the field. We all know his issues, and the Panthers wasted $13.116 million on him this season.
Melvin White began the season as the starting cornerback, but was benched by Coach Ron Rivera.
Star Lotulelei had a great rookie season, but did not show up to play this year. He only has 18 tackles and hasn't registered a sack. The Panthers need Star to get back to being the hole plugger he really is.
Why In Between Lists:
The Offensive line has struggled throughout the whole season, but has showed up over the past three games. The line was hurt by retirements, injuries and under performing players. The recent shuffle has helped the Panthers offense, and I think that the Panthers found the right formula.
DeAngelo Williams has been constantly plagued by injuries, and hasn't rushed for over 1,000 yards since the 2009 season.
Roman Harper started out the season like he needed a cane, but played real well against the New Orleans Saints. He needs to play well for this team to succeed.
Do you agree with my naughty or nice list?
